I was looking for some pics from Cria Cuervos and instead found this special treat for all of you Spanish and japanese speakers, lol.
This is Carlos Saura's best movie, about growing up with sisters and absent parents and how fantasy can seem like reality as a child. The child p.o.v is completely right on and beautifully captured. Ana Torrent does an amazing job as Ana. She has incredible, haunting dark eyes. Geraldine Chaplin is fabulous as her mother and the adult Ana.
It's amazing that there isn't a decent Region 1 version of Cria Cuervos on DVD but it's possible to get the Region 2 DVD from Amazon.
